Why did osmos message me?

Texted items, quiet hours, and the daily limit on interruptions.

osmos sends you a message (a push plus a line in chat) when it rates something as urgent enough to be told before you next open the app: a deadline that moved, money at risk, someone waiting on you. Everything else stays on the Home card without a notification.

The rules it works to

  • Quiet hours. Set your active hours in Core → Profile. Outside them, only the most urgent items get through; the rest wait on the card.
  • A daily limit. osmos gives itself at most five unrequested messages in any 24 hours, and at most two from any single check. Routines you scheduled yourself don't count against this.
  • Once per situation. The same thing won't text you twice; it will only update the card.

If a message was wrong or unwelcome, dismiss the card. That teaches the next pass. If it keeps happening, tell us via Help; it's exactly the kind of thing we want to hear about.
