The Home card, explained

osmos picks the one thing worth your attention and puts it at the top of Chat.

The card at the top of Chat is chosen by osmos, not by you. Several times a day, and whenever something urgent lands, it looks across your email, calendar, tasks, messages and recent chat and decides what, if anything, deserves the spot. Most of the time that's one or two items; often it's nothing, which is normal.

The three kinds

  • Briefing: something osmos prepared, like a morning summary.
  • Action: something to deal with now, like a failing connection or an invoice due today.
  • Reminder: something coming up.

Tap the button on the card to act on it. Tap × to dismiss it. Dismissing is a strong signal: osmos won't bring the same thing back unless there's a new reason.

Dates on the card

When a card is about a moment in time, the day and time under the heading are computed by osmos's servers from the event's actual date, in your timezone. osmos isn't allowed to write "tonight" or "tomorrow" itself, precisely because it once got that wrong.
