Linking your number, what osmos can do, and why it sometimes needs re-linking. Plus plan and above.
WhatsApp connects by linking osmos as a companion device to your phone, the same way WhatsApp Web works. osmos can then read and search your conversations, draft replies, and send them when you ask.
Re-linking
WhatsApp occasionally drops companion devices, and when it does osmos's sync pauses. You'll see a card or a note in Tool manager asking you to re-link. Scan the code again and it picks up where it left off. This is a WhatsApp behaviour we can't fully prevent.
Limits
- osmos sees messages from the time you link it, plus recent history WhatsApp provides. It can't reach back years.
- Group chats are included. osmos will only send in a group if you ask it to.
- Voice notes and images are read where possible; results vary.
