Booking flights, hotels and trains
How a booking happens in chat, what you're shown, and what osmos needs from you.
Ask in chat: "Book me a flight to Edinburgh on the 14th, back on the 16th", "Find a hotel near the British Museum for two nights", "Train to Manchester Saturday morning". osmos searches live prices, shows you options as cards, and holds the one you pick.
Before anything is paid you see the full fare, the rules, and the passenger details it will use. Confirm, and osmos pays with your Wallet card and puts the confirmation in Wallet.
Traveller details
Names must match passports for flights. osmos keeps traveller profiles for you and the people you travel with; check them once and it will reuse them. Passport numbers and dates of birth are stored encrypted.
Limits
- osmos books through travel suppliers, so availability and price are theirs, and can change between search and confirmation. If a fare disappears, osmos tells you and searches again.
- Loyalty points, reward seats, and airlines outside the supplier's network can't be booked in chat. osmos can use its computer to do those on the airline's own site with you watching.
- Rail covers the UK and most of Europe; refundability depends on the operator and the ticket type.
