Notes and recorded meetings
Recording, transcription with speakers, summaries, action items, and what it costs.
Notes holds typed notes and recorded meetings. Record a meeting and osmos transcribes it with speakers separated, writes a summary with key points and decisions, and turns action items into tasks. It also works out who each speaker is where it can, using names mentioned and your calendar's attendee list for that slot.
Cost
Recordings use credits for the transcription and the summary. osmos checks you have enough before it starts and before it finishes; a half-hour meeting costs in the region of ten to twenty credits. If you run out mid-way, the recording is kept and you can retry once you have credits.
Accuracy and limits
- Speaker names are inferred. Rename a speaker in the note and the transcript updates; mark one as you.
- Audio is deleted once the transcript is written; only the text stays.
- Recording needs the app open or in the background with microphone permission. Phone calls can't be recorded.
- Very noisy rooms and crosstalk reduce accuracy. Put the phone near the people speaking.
